We have just returned from our third visit this year to Teesdale Barnard Castle Club site which is very much our local favourite. It is a top notch site for its location and the quality of the large hard standings, serviced pitches and amenity blocks and bookings can be made in confidence. We like it because it is ideally situated with easy access to the small market town of Barnard Castle and all its specialist shops, supermarkets and excellent choices of varied eateries and pubs including a very good micropub. Teesdale itself affords some lovely attractive walking with a choice of riverside, reservoir and remote high fell routes. All of this is greatly enhanced by the wardens – Jim, Jackie, Roy and Cath who all work extremely hard and are dedicated to keeping this site immaculately clean, tidy and functioning just as you’d expect. They are a very friendly, professional and helpful team who will go out of their way to advise and assist if required and are the perfect example of what “Caravan & Motor Home Club” Wardens should be – 5 stars from us.
