Great place as a base
Others have complained about road noise. Whilst it was noticeable, it soon blended into the background but the site wasn't as peaceful as it otherwise would have been in such a brilliant location on the edge of the country park.
It's such a convenient location for visiting the area around Glasgow. The Museum of Transport and Tall Ship on the Clyde were superb (with a good cafe as well). The Falkirk Wheel was mind-blowing. Much to do there.
Don't be put off by negative comments. Try it for yourself if thinking about venturing into Scotland (or coming the other way into England).
