Surprisingly peaceful
We stopped at Strathclyde for one night just to break up our journey heading south after a Scottish tour. The site looked to be very newly built and very well designed, with easy access onto each pitch and a short (less than 30 seconds in many cases) walk to the extremely well-appointed facilities block in the centre of the site.
The site was about half-full when we visited, and I imagine that it might get a little claustrophobic with a few more vans. We're used to sites that have a lot more shrubs and hedges, so we felt quite overlooked by the other pitches. It will be interesting to see how the site develops over the years, as there was obviously some planting going on.
We'll definitely be back - it's a perfect stop off for our next adventure North.
