We were first time visitors last week. It's a well laid out, level site with excellent facilities and friendly wardens. Its location near the M74 makes it somewhat noisy, particularly at peak times, which may put off some. More irritating were the local boy racers driving around the Country Park in the evenings. We explored the local Country Park and also Chapelherault a few miles away, excellent for the dog. We lunched out on two days. The Applebank Inn near Larkhall and overlooking the Avon Water is worth a visit. Overall a positive experience and we plan to return.
