Dog walkers paradise.

It was the first time we have been to this site. We took our 2 eldest grand children with us as we were visiting our daughter and husband who live in Glasgow. On arrival we were given a map showing us the site and and were given an explanation of the site. We were also given a white card to use for getting through the barriers to get on and off the site as it is a secure site. The staff were friendly and helpful especially with our grand children. They also explained about the road works that were happening on the motorway just outside of the site and pointed out the quieter side of the site for us. The site was very well laid out with plenty of room so you didn't feel on top of each other. The facilities were spotlessly clean. The shower's, toilet's and washroom area were lovely and warm with plenty of hot water and piped radio music. The facilities for filling your water tank, draining your grey water and emptying your toilet cassette were well signed and all kept clean. The play area was adequate for our grand daughter who is only 7. The dog walking area was excellent, dogs are allowed off the lead and can run free around it. Our dogs loved it plus just across the road from the site entrance is the country park with woodlands and a loch with fabulous walks for the dogs and play area's for our grand children. There is only one small minus point and that is the charge of using the laundry facilities. It is £4 for a 26min wash and £1 for 15mins drying time in the tumble dryers which we thought was expensive. But the equipment was all in excellent condition as was the laundry room. All in all we had a great time and we will be staying there again when we go back up Glasgow.
