I stay on this site a couple of times a year when visiting the area. The wardens have always been friendly and helpful. The facilities are good and kept clean. Unlike one of the previous reviewers, we did not notice any problems with travellers but we were only staying for two nights. The Toby Carvery had run out of meat when we got there at about 7.30pm - not the first time this has happened to me. This is disappointing as it is the nearest place to eat although I believe the Holiday Inn does have a limited evening menu. The site is convenient for travelling to Glasgow by train and is also a convenient place to stop off on longer journeys.
