Excellent central location for South Devon

This was our second visit, in late September 2015. The site itself is very quiet, and the wardens helpful and very cheerful, even at the end of the season! Pitches seemed well spaced, with both hardstanding (which we prefer) and grass. The site is excellent from an access point of view, being just off the A38, which is linked to the M5 by fast dual track. Also the location is ideal for both Dartmoor and Torbay. Fish and Chip van on a Friday evening (excellent quality) is a definite plus. Only downside is the traffic build-up in Newton Abbot itself, where the rush-hour seems to last all day. Also there are many major roadworks between the site and Torbay at the time of writing, but eventually (possibly by 2016 season) the new dual-track will be open, and it will make a tremendous difference. We do love our visits to sites without facilities, which are quieter, and this was no exception!
