Cornish Fishing Village in Scotland!

.... or a Scottish fishing village that has been copied in Cornwall.... The Stonehaven site is a short walk away from the village. On the sea front is an excellent (and award winning!) fish and chip shop, next door to an equally excellent ice cream parlour. Just like similar towns and villages in Cornwall, Stonehaven has had to move away from traditional fishing as the main trade, and into tourism, making the most of its picturesque nature. The site itself is well kept, neat and tidy with the usual facilities you would expect. These are of very high quality. The building itself is worthy of note, as it is of stone construction and rather well finished. Well worth a visit, but book ahead. Understandably, this place gets busy, especially at weekends.... a bit like a small Cornish fishing village.!

I agree that it’s a good site but the town of Stonehaven didn’t for one minute remind me of a Cornish fishing village. Both have their attractions and both are on the coast but there the similarity ends in my view.
