First time at Totnes, facilities a little dated but a really conveniently located site within walking distance of the town centre.
I am not one to leave negative reviews as I would prefer to speak directly to the organisation or just never patronise the establishment again. However, in the instance I feel so strongly about the warden, who spoke to us in an appaling manner.
Perhaps he was having an off day, but we will never go back to this site again.
Another good stay
As always this small green site offered a pleasant relaxing stay. It's basic and with limited facilities but many seem to enjoy the simplicity and it blends in well with the local riverside setting. A good place to take canoes and kayaks and launch them nearby. Totnes has lots to offer, visit the castle to get a good view of the area! We had a nice lunch at the Steam Packet Inn just across the river. The bus services are excellent. This time round we took the bus to Dartmouth and caught the river boat trip back to Totnes enjoying a drink on board and a lovely journey along the Dart. Many thanks.
Great for a town break
Nice site for a in-town break, pity there are not a few more facilities such as a grey water waste drain for motorhomes, prices are on the high side for such a basic site but the location is the premium factor.
Excellent site
We have stayed at this site many times. Always a delight, the wardens are so helpful and the site is spotless. It's a perfect site for walking, good shops and bus services.
Great Location
Nice small peaceful site. Perfect location for visiting Totnes as its in the middle of the town. As others have said its a no EHU site but it would be much busier if it was. Toilet block dated but clean. Only 2 showers in the mens and ladies facilities.
Would stay here again.
A non-ehu site in a peaceful location.
Access to Steamer Quay is straightforward and this non-ehu site is in a peaceful location close to the centre of Totnes. The site 'crew,' Marianne and Kevin, were both welcoming and helpful, as were the relief wardens Andrea and Steve. And whilst the site facilities are indeed dated (and somewhat 'municipal') as mentioned by other CMC members, the toilet block is kept clean. There are plenty of cycle routes and footpaths nearby and the 'Round Robin' tour bus/steam train/ferry is close to the site. Totnes itself is steeped in history and the castle and guild hall are worth a visit. Quite hilariously, someone on Tripadvisor described Totnes as a (former) refuge for New Age travellers who are now old age settlers; I guess that's the story of Totnes through the ages and well worth a visit.
Great Location
Excellent site with flat piches, helpful friendly wardens who always had time to answer queries and have a chat. Site and facilities spotless, Ideal location for Totnes which has a variety of shops, pubs, a large supermarket and lovely walks along the river. A superb site for a peaceful relaxing stay. Definitely will be returning in the future.

Fantastic little site
Lovely flat pitches a stones throw from the river dart and town of Totnes. The site is immaculate and well kept. Toilets are clean and the whole place is well managed. On arrival we were greeted by one of the friendliest wardens we’ve met so far. She was helpful and gave local advice on the many walks and cycle trails nearby. Over our stay whenever we saw the staff they always stoped to chat and we’re super helpful and always smiling and friendly. They are a credit to the club.
We will definitely make this our go to place locally as only an hour away from home.
Great site and location
Just spent a week at this site. The cleanliness of pitches and facilities was excellent. I had a slight issue but it was resolved very quickly by the first class site wardens Kev and Marianne.
Will certainly be revisiting again in near future
Great time at Steamer Quay
We only stayed for one night , but we enjoyed our visit so much that we will be back again soon. The site hosts were great and very helpful, the site was clean and tidy and because it is virtually in the centre of town great for just ambling in and exploring. Totnes is wonderful, plenty of dog walks and the walk along the river a must.
