There's a beachside pub, fantastic coastal walks and a small general store just 20 minutes easy stroll from your van. Less than 10 minutes in the opposite direction takes you on another footpath to Stokenham which has bus stops to Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Plymouth and a couple of excellent pubs for a swift half or an evening meal. The tip about following the recommended route is a good one as the sat nav delights in sending you and every other vehicle down a series of really narrow Devon lanes. The amount of time wasted stopping and backing up negates the advantage of a shorter route. A final word for the site wardens.
