Grass pitches good but standard hard standing pitches not attractively located

Helpful staff, overall an attractive well managed site, convenient for Bridgnorth and other West Midland towns. Easy to access. We had to pitch on a hard standing rather than the booked grass pitch because of the heavy rainfall on the day and further expected heavy rain (which proved to be the case over a three day period!). At least this shows that good care is taken of the grass pitches. Indeed the grass area seemed to be in very good condition with little sign of grass affected by over use of ground sheets. The grass pitches seemed to us by far the best pitches as far as location was concerned even though they did not overlook the lake.. I would not recommend the standard hard standings as there was no view from them, their being sited between hedges and an artificially created grass bank. Also some of the hard standings were one continuous hard standing with individual caravan layouts being separated with planted pots. We did not think it was an aesthetically attractive layout. There is a rumble of traffic noise perhaps most noticeable in the adult grass pitch area. We would go there again but we would certainly ask for a grass pitch.
