Croeso St Davids

Finding the site can be disconcerting - don't confuse with Lleithyr FARM camp site which is next door - but once there you'll find very helpful wardens and a very well laid out and operated site. We had a lower number pitch - on the western fringe and sheltered from some fairly stiff breezes - opposite (but upwind of)  the rookery, so they weren't intrusive.  Appreciate that pitches are grass - but site is level and wasn't a problem whilst we were there (Mid July2015) as regards excessively wet / difficult to navigate across.  Wardens were out grass cutting and keeping place tidy every day - as well as looking after 'the facilities' (which are impressive!) Particularly impressed with the local information provided - as regards walks / cycle routes from the site; both as to range and depth of instructions provided. The cathedral in St. Davids is a MUST - and get one of the stewards to go through the history, which makes the place come alive.  Likewise, the TIC in the city has an art collection of Graham Sutherland's  which we found an unexpected bonus.
