Return Visit

This is one of the sites we happily return to and visiting at different times of the year makes it more interesting. This time we just about caught the beautiful spectacle of the cliffs being covered in Heather, Ling and Gorse, a patchwork of stunning colour. The site was quiet in early September and we made use of the many local  walks. We managed to get down to Chapel Porth beach (just before the weekend Belly Board Championships!) and had our usual hedgehog ice creams and croque monsieurs, don't miss out on these delights at the beach cafe. You'll need a walk back to the site to burn off the calories! We walked to the Railway Inn for a birthday lunch, the route goes by the farm next door and via the ancient pathways into the village, no more than half an hours pleasant walking. We also visited Trebah Gardens on the Helford river, always worth a visit, dogs are welcome and there's a nice beach down there too. So thumbs up for Aggie once more!
