Ideally situated.
After a horrendous journey down to the site from Shropshire, which took us 10 hours because of road works at Bristol and on the A30, a road to be avoided, we were delighted to be met by smiling wardens, Sue and Deryek who were most helpful and ran the site well. Very clean and tidy, the views were excellent and the situation is just right for visiting the Cornish coast. Lots to do within easy reach. The Miners Arms is a must for good food, fish & chip van comes to the site as does the butcher which is handy. Although there are no toilet facilities, which did not matter to us, as we have our own, it would be nice to have had some facilities to wash larger dishes and barbeque trays.
It was extremely windy for most of the three weeks that we were there, so the more sheltered areas of the site are better as less noise from awnings. Not a site we felt suitable for children as there were no facilities for them - but obviously wonderful beaches close by if the weather is good. If we could face the journey again, we would definitely return.
