Southport Club Site
Just arrived back from 3 nights at Southport Club site. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the time we were there which always makes the camping special. Southport town centre is conveniently only around 10 minutes walk away through the wide open spaces of Victoria Park. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in town for any budget. We ate at Wetherspoons on our last night to save on the washing up.
There are two hidden gems near just outside the camp site - the model engineering train line which offers rides most Sundays in the Summer and also the model boating lake which is great to pass an hour or so watching the members sail their creations.
Club staff went out of their way to make the stay memorable.
All in all a great place to spend a few days away.
