Good for families

The good, the bad & the ugly.

We arrived at the site on Sunday the 13th May for a 6 day break. We found a pitch that was relatively level & we set up. As our motor home is over 7m in length, we prefer to set up for the duration of our stay & then we walk or use public transport if it's available? The Good - as with almost every C&MC site the toilet & shower block was excellent, very modern, clean & well maintained. The staff was very friendly & helpful. You can take a steady 15 to 20 minute stroll into town where there are hundreds of shops & plenty of pubs, most of which are dog friendly. The bad - we stopped on pitch 125, there was a lot of traffic noise & I don't remember a day where we wasn't disturbed by wailing sirens or racing cars & bikes. Also if you have young children, be aware of the pitches from 124 upwards along the road fence. You can hear what is being said by passersby's & on several occasions the language was CRUDE to say the least. The ugly - a short walk from the site & you are on the dunes, which we thought would be an ideal place to walk with our dogs. It's not, be very careful & aware of the amount of broken glass that litters the dunes. It's such a shame. Overall though, we had an enjoyable break, but we think once is enough.
