Marmite site

You either love or hate this site.  We visited previously before the new part opened and had a lovely break.  This time, we were in the new part of the site.  It's barren, open to the constant wind and the noise of boy racers tearing around the roundabout.  Plus site security is somewhat lacking in that corner too, it's very easy to walk round the flattened fence and in to site.  TV signal was very poor on our pitch, we were disappointed to find the club had not spent the relatively small extra cost to put in booster points, when this is a known problem.  Finally the hard standings, either loose gravel that won't hold a peg, or so solid you can't get the pegs in, and showing signs of reverting to grass, it was growing on all the pitches we looked at. One final point, on the approach from Formby the first glimpse of the site looks like a travellers site, not the impression intended I'm sure, but with no trees or shrubs how it looks.
