We booked last minute and were lucky enough to find availability. The whole team were incredibly welcoming. We felt at ease and were able to take our time to find a perfect pitch. We have a big motorhome and the access and pitch size was very good. The bonus for us is the location. We usually tow a car behind but only took bikes this time and Southport is very flat, so ideal for less serious cycling. Southport has so much to offer for couples or families all within easy access walking. The sand dunes literally opposite the site lead to the beach and are fabulous for dog walking. We walked to Ainstable and then caught the train to Formby, Crosby and then back to Southport. Very reasonable day ticket for £3.80. The site is spotless and we got a great welcome and help / advice when needed from the staff. We usually travel in Europe and Croatia in our Van but we liked this site so much that we have booked a return in a few weeks.
