I was like, JojoChambers, a little apprehensive about visiting this site due to some of the reviews. But I'm so glad I ignored them and booked a two night stay. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the wardens were on hand to assist and were always pleasant to deal with. The facilities were fantastic and kept spotlessly clean. The site is well set out and in a great location for visiting this area. Yes there was some standing water but not a problem and no surprise given the amount of rain we've had. A good walk into the Town Centre but manageable for most. It's a long time since we've been to Southport and had forgotten what it has to offer. We hired bikes from the Eco Centre on Saturday afternoon and really enjoyable ride around. The bikes are a little old and need a bit of tlc but worked perfectly well for us. Definitely recommend this site and will be visiting again without a doubt.
