This is our third year running staying at Southland. Checkin is brilliant - love the fast track facility and it’s great not having to handle find each time we go in and out. We requested a particular pitch - although we were told it couldn’t be guaranteed - it was lovely to see our request had been granted. Easy level walk to the facilities for someone with mobility issues - thank you so much to the site team. The site is ideally positioned to visit anywhere on the island - nothing is too far away. We particularly loved our coffee at Harvey Browns or Garlic Farm. Lunch was lovely at Quarr Abbey and we didn’t need to sit long in the hide to spot a red squirrel. We also ate at the Fighting Cocks which was around five mins drive away, the lifeboat at east Cowes, crab and lobster at Bembridge. Osborne house and Carrisbrooke Castle are must visits for us. Our two dogs love the beaches at Apply, Yaverland, and St Helens. We will definitely be back for our fourth visit next year.
