This is a large site but is laid out in several copses with hedgeing and no-mow areas. Its nice to look at but many pitches have restrictive lengths and my 7.5 metre long van had to pitch on a "7 metre pitch" with the hitchhead fouling the site road and a cone in front of it. I also had agressive birds and there was noise from the country lane behind the site at night, there are some houses on this lane and the residents don't care how loud they are! The facilities block was clean with plenty of hot water available. The wifi was poor and my mobile reception was also patchy on occasions. although my iphone and ipad would pick up the wifi and sign in, they often wouldn't be usable, however my old andriod phone with bt wifi app worked well and my laptop connected easily and worked well. My holiday was a combined ferry and site booking and the interaction with the ferry company was fine. Finally all the site staff I encountered were pleasant and they run a small shop on site which i and others found very useful. Overall verdict was that I enjoyed my stay and i would return to the site but I might book a hardstanding pitch because for the longer van they are better.
