S much to see. so little time
Site divided up into sections so some nice private sections. Bembridge has everything you need - Fishmonger, butcher, and baker, plus pubs and supermarket. We went to the Crab and Lobster for a lovely seafood platter and The Best Dressed Crab to eat and collect dressed crab for tea later. The Waterfront in Totland is dog friendly inside and out and has great views and fabulous food. So many places to visit, so many we didn’t manage, but the Donkey Sanitary is close by, dog friendly and a must to put some money in their donation boxes. Steephill Cove - you have to pay £5 to park at the Botanical Gardens and walk to but out of season there was only one cafe open - season is May to September. Pointer Inn has some delicious food and dog friendly. Wifi worked all the time. For the biggest Mr Whippy 99 ice cream on the island go to the amusements in Shanklin, was less then £2 too, they were ridiculous but obviously we forced it all down! (It was a rainy day though so maybe they were bored and just giving out huge amounts of ice cream as there was no on around). Vernon Cottage in Shanklin had fabulous salads and the fish pie at the Spyglass Inn in Ventnor had the most fish in a fish pie ever. So much to do so little time, will return. (Donkeys and horses can be seen on site too). We tend to eat our way around the places we stay and try to shop local for food we made in the caravan.
