Excellent site
Had an 8 night stay in late June with the caravan. We liked it so much we returned for a mid week 3 nights in July with the camper van. An excellent ferry deal with Red Funnel booked through the club made a short stay more viable.
The site is kept immaculate and is well laid out with ample room. There are dedicated disabled pitches close to the toilet block. The wash rooms and showers are first class and the wardens are very helpful and friendly. The reception stocks a good range of essential items, bread, milk etc as the nearest shop is about a mile away. There is a dog walking area and a children's play area both on the boundary of the site.
We stayed on grass pitches on both occasions (although the grass was more like straw due to the weeks of scorching sunshine). The hard standing section of the site is further from the single toilet block and seems a little more barren than the grass section that has long established hedges and trees which are well managed and separate the pitches very effectively.
The site being inland from Shanklin and sandown is quite sheltered and convenient for many of the Island's attractions whilst not being far from the beaches. The Island's excellent off road cycle routes are easily accessed close to the site.
We shall definitely be staying there again in the future.
