Down the Pan

We have been regular visitors over the last 10 years to this site and find it sad to see the site has had no money spent on it by the club .It desperately needs a new road surface laid as in the wet weather it's just a very muddy dirt track with large puddles. Getting water or emptying your waste involves pulling your water hog or waste through the mud. The pitches have also been neglected and with the current pitch allocation it seems to have killed the friendliness of the site. At one time we would come and whole site would be full of families barbecuing and sitting outside vans chatting. Not any more. We visited on a scorching hot fathers day last year and it was less than half full. It's a sad demise. As per usual, the volunteer wardens do a sterling job. We feel sorry for them as this weekend saw one of the wardens valiantly attempting to clear the thick slippery mud from the roadway. I pity any disabled person trying to manoeuvre their wheelchair along the mud strip. Come on Caravan Club pull your finger out and spend some money on this once beautifully kept site before it goes down the pan.
