great place to stay

Great site, really friendly wardens, great value for money.we didn't seem to have a problem with the tv reception, we had a walk into the lovely village along the disused railway line, also great for cycling too. This was our second visit and we will be sure to return.

Well run site

We found this to be a lovely secluded site with excellent waste and water facilities and very friendly, dedicated people running it. The only downside for us, and many others on site at the time, was the lack of TV reception. Every day brought discussions about types of aerials and where to position and direct them, without success. We recently visited a CL site with a TV aerial mounted on a tall pole with hook up connections beside each electric point. Perhaps this idea could be adopted on this site.

What a Gem of a site

Great location, very well kept and really friendly and helpful volunteer wardens. They make you so welcome. Plenty of hard standings for motorhomes and good bus service to Horsham and Guildford from the end of the short lane. Excellent pub and local shop in the village. Certainly worth a visit especially at £12.50 a night you can hardly get at CL for that price

September three day break

We have stayed at this small clean and friendly site twice before, the pub and shop are very good the local folk friendly. We participated in the Cancer Coffee Morning on the 25th Sept, raffle prizes were donated by the warden along with the  cakes & biscuits ,I hope they raised an amount worthy of their efforts,it was supported by the locals. Only downside to Slinfold is the poor television reception, we had none at all this time, but they supply a good range of DVD`s.

Friendly site

Stayed for 10 nights on this site and found wardens to be very friendly indeed. Hardstanding a bit difficult to pitch awnings on as very hard ground. Best pitches at beginning of site on grass as further down site can get quite dark with overhanging trees. We too suffered from the constant bombardment of acorns which can sound surprising loud in a caravan. However the walks and lovely location make up for this discomfort.

Nights in September

We stayed here for two nights. We were attending a concert a few miles away. The site is small but is in a quiet location. Nice little pub 15 minute walk away. friendly and helpful wardens. Good value

Great cycle rides and lovely village pub.

As has been mentioned before, the grass pitches on the right get the most sun. But we went in August and because the overhanging trees are oaks, we had acorns regularly dropping on the roof. Sounds very loud inside. The village pub is very friendly and serves good food, wonderful garden at rear. The staff were a real delight. This site is definitely on our will revisit list.

Wish there were more like this

Excellent small site, friendly wardens, clean. We generally prefer CLs but the nearest CL we used to go to near Godalming, whilst in a glorious location, has appalling facilities, even for a CL and charge is £15 per night!  (should really be inspected by the Club). So Slinfold was perfect for us and at £12.50 per night excellent value. A kind of luxury CL. We have now been twice and will definitely return.

Points for and points against

We stayed at the club site August bank holiday weekend 2015. Its the first time we have used a basic club site without toilet facilities. We arrived on the Thursday and was quite surprised to see the site quite full already. We were greeted friendly enthusiastic by club wardens, who walked us around available free pitches. Now a down point of this club site is the length of the site narrows to smaller size hardstanding pitches and down this end of the site the sun is very limited too shady for my liking. We eventually settled for the grass pitches on the right as you come in the site even tho it was wet conditions, this is by far the sunniest spot for the whole of the site. Due to the tree cover at Slinfold TV reception is a bit iffy however from the grass pitches you do get a clear view to use a satellite dish at 28.5 east. I would come back here as there is a great old railway line to cycle so I will put it on my to do list. Just one other point there was a bit of aircraft noise on two of the four mornings we were there 6 -8 am as its not too far away from Gatwick I think the Red Eye flights coming in from over the pond maybe it was just the flight paths they were using those days. At £12.50 PN its good valued (2015)
