Ridiculously Overpriced

We booked a Grass Non-Electric Pitch over the May Spring Bank Holiday. The site map described this has an "Economy" Pitch and indeed the Warden, when confirming our booking on arrival said you've booked an "Economy" pitch. The web page, when booking just described it as Grass Non-Electric. Well let me tell you this "Economy" pitch was £47.50 per night for two of the nights and £45.00 for one of the nights, how economical is that??? Not! Approximately £6 or £7 less than a Grass or Hard Standing with Electric. This "Economy" area is the uneven Camping field at the front of the site next to the main coastal road. At £47.50 per night we were, unsurprisingly the only unit in this field, though a nice couple in a Tent did join us later. The path track from the field to the Waste Disposal, Water and Chemical Disposal area, which also provides access to the Main Site and Facilities Block is little more than a mud track and is un-lit so a good flash light is required. We have invested not only a lot of money into our Unit but also into making it quite self sufficient with Solar Panels, Quality Batteries, 3kW Inverter and LED Lighting. This has enabled us to be able to stay on Non Electric Grass Pitches but if you're still charging £47.50 a night for these areas please make some effort to offer value for money. We parked on our own in the middle of a grass field next to main road with in adequate paths or lighting. There is a Swimming Pool on this site, this was closed and doesn't open until June. There is a Bar on this site, we went in on the Sunday Evening only to be told it was shutting in 30 minutes as it shuts at 7PM on a Sunday. There is a Toilet Block on this site, which is well ready for a refurb, which I did use three times. A reasonable price for this "Economy" pitch would be about £25.00 per night I think and therefore two poos and a shower cost me about £65 I estimate and I nearly broke my neck getting there one dark, wet night. Lovely Jubbly. The area is lovely and a Bus Stop, that even those on an "Economy" pitch can use, is just outside the site. For £2 per journey(now that is value for money) you can get everywhere you need to go to explore the surrounding area without having to worry about traffic jams or parking. We went to Wells next to the Sea and Sheringham on the bus. We walked into Cromer and East Runton where the Bar opening times are a little bit more realistic. Would we go again? Yes we would definitely visit the area again, it's lovely with lots to do, but we'd stay at Woodhill Park Campsite which is the opposite side of East Runton and which was recommended by someone we met, for about £25 per night with electric and less without.
