We have been visiting Seacroft for a number of years now and have always been completely happy with the site however this time we noticed a few things that need attention. As others have mentioned, the grass is left long & I understand the need for wildlife etc. but it is being used as an excuse not to keep pitches tidy. Whilst on site our water supply was cut off (fully serviced pitch) so we asked the warden if they were aware of an issue. We were told “oh yes, the tank is being cleaned, should only be an hour or so”, that’s fine but why not let people know before work commences, it must have been scheduled. On a similar theme the restaurant stopped serving food for 2 days because, as we were told, they had “sold out of food”, REALLY??? Again a simple notice on an A board to let people know would have been helpful. Overall these little things meant the stay was not as enjoyable as it should have been and when you’re paying premium prices you should expect better.
