Excellent out of season
On arrival the staff were so welcoming and friendly telling us to find our pitch and report later once settled. We really love the 'Useful Information' sheet they gave us, not many sites are doing this now, (we have stayed on 10 club sites this year and not many do it, one rudely said there was one on the information board but the important telephone numbers etc were spread about and not at all helpful, so well done and thank you Seacroft).
The site was lovely and tidy and the facilities, although looking a bit dated and in need of some general tlc, were spotlessly clean and ALL toilets and showers were open every day we were there, despite the site being half full, again on most of the other sites we have stayed this year there has always been one or two toilets and showers permanently closed (apparently due to staff shortages, so again well done Seacroft).
AND a delight that there wasn't any signs of a biffa bin, all service points had normal bins for rubbish, again I reiterate most of the sites this year have had a biffa bin area and mostly meant a long walk to dispose of rubbish. Again well done Seacroft.
The Wanderer was open every day and even though we didnt use it spoke to others who had and said it was excellent.
The location is perfect for a stroll into Cromer one way or East Runton the other, lovely circular walk from East Runton along the beach to Cromer pier, coffee, cake on the pier and walk back to site.
I would add that we went out of season and the grass pitches were closed therefore the site felt half empty but good to see that The Wanderer was still open every day and wardens always happy with a wave and a smile.
This site feels like it should do, a proper campsite for people to relax and enjoy their stay, the reasons we joined the caravan club.
