November at Cromer!

We have visited this site a few times - this time we had the added excitement of strong winds - always a plus to see the waves if you are strong enough to stand up!! The weather had been exceptionally wet the previous week or so but the site was well drained and the Wanderer which has restricted opening out of season was opened for a very generous evening meal. Cromer is an easy walk away whatever the weather and nice to potter around for a while, We drove south along the coast road one day just to revive memories and discovered the Swan at Ingham near Happisburgh for lunch!!! A refurbished "village pub" done to a beautiful standard after a disastrous fire - lovely food, friendly staff - couldn't fault it - slightly pricey but so worth it. We visited various beach and coast areas and found the erosion quite worrying considering we had only missed a year or so. Bird life abounds and out of season the little by roads are a pleasure - enjoy your stay in North Norfolk but keep it a secret, selfishly we don't want ot to get too busy out of season!
