Excellent site

We have stayed at this site many times as we love the area. We picked a serviced pitch at the top of the site which had marvellous views of the sea. Unfortunately we found that they are also at the mercy of the weather. Also a number of us up here found that we had a problem with the tent pegs. Although they were difficult to put in they came out very easily with the slightest movement so a number of us had to take down our awnings. We felt the ground had not been prepared properly on these new pitches. For this reason we decided to move pitches and the lady warden was so very helpful and identified a serviced pitch on the lower part of the site which was due to become available that we could move to. No problem with the tent pegs down there. All the wardens were marvellous - helpful, friendly and efficient. The facilities were immaculate but we felt that they could do with more showers and toilets as they can become very busy when the site is full. There is so much to do in the local area I don't know where to start!! Cromer is such a lovely town with lots to do, one of the best piers. wonderful fish and chips, lots of cafes and a wonderful church with a tower that you can climb so you get great view of the surrounding area. Sheringham Park is wonderful as it Felbrigg Hall and Bickling - all National Trust. Sheringham is also a lovely little town with the added advantage of the steam train - The Poppy Line. There is a really good caravan accessory shop in West Runton should yo need anything. Although a few 'niggles' we shall definitely be back again
