An all round excellent stay and location

We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the wardens and stayed for 18 days. For me the best thing about this site was the excellent location foremost, turn left out of the site and within a quarter of a mile is East Runton with an excellent beach with lifeguards (and a large car park just minutes away from it if you don't like the 10 minute walk), turn right and you will be in Cromer within 15/20 minutes walk, again lifeguards on beach, lots of shops and places to eat and of course its pier (get there at 8am and you'll have it all to yourself). The No 1 fish and chips restaurant/takeaway is fantastic, and you can book upstairs and watch the sunset over the sea. The site itself is excellent too. It has a heated outdoor swimming pool, and I mean really heated, the lifeguard said it was heated to 30C and it was like getting into a warm bath! There is also a bar and restaurant which while we didn't eat in was always very popular with night time kids and older entertainment. The facilities are well up and above to club standards and the wardens work tirelessly to keep all the site looking great. A big thank you to them. There is lots to do in the surrounding area, our highlights were a boat trip to see the seals anda day on the boards - get a 'picnic' day boat and it's like your caravan or motorhome made into a boat. Two good national trust properties and three steam railways. Plus tearooms round every corner in each village.
