Return visit........
Were on site for the last week of July........
Quite a large site, and popular with families but it never seemed noisy.
Site has three pairs of wardens who manage to keep the site and facilities immaculate.
The floral display is a joy to behold, and should win any prizes going - congratulations to the green fingered wardens who have achieved this.
Location is great, with a variety of scenery around...
North York Moors Railways for train enthusiasts
RSPB Bempton Cliffs for 'birders', and just brilliant areas to explore for walkers and cyclists.
Food wise, a trip a little north of Scarborough to a pub called Bryherstones Inn at Cloughton is well worth a visit. They can trace their ingredients from field to fork -- the meat is supplied by the landlady's family -- fish fresh from Whitby and vegetables all grown locally. Hospitality at it's best, with ALL the staff smiling.Very reasonable prices for superb pub food - go and enjoy.
