What a little gem this site is, we hadn’t visited before. But we decided to do a 1 night short trip away. We were welcomed warmly be the extremely helpful wardens on site. The pitch we picked was pretty level although some others needed levelling chocks. But this was not a problem for us. We had a fantastic stay and my son loved exploring through the woodland and taking us on a lengthy dog walk in the immediate countryside. There was no noise at all at night and it was a extremely peaceful escape. The little shop on site was well stocked with the essentials and all at reasonable prices (especially as it was the last week the site is open). The toilets were immaculately clean and tidy. The only downside I could see would be that the pitches at the bottom of the park are quite a trek from the main toilet block. But again for us this was a minor thing. We would certainly be returning to this site again.
