Nice site but beware the jobsworths
This is a well located site if a little remote. It sits on the hillside in a tree lined environment. We have stayed before and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
Attempted to arrive 40 minutes early on a foul wet morning. Site was less than half full but Mr jobsworth was abrupt in telling my wife that we were early and did we not read the email. We we sent packing!
I have no issues with Wardens following policy although my experience is that most apply this flexibly and sensibly. Manner of refusal was unacceptable and approach at odds with the usual friendly and helpful warden greetings we encounter around the country
We returned 40 minutes later and booked in. Site still less than halF full. Rain subsided long enough to just get pitched and awning up in under the hour much to our relief. Car had not yet been moved to its correct position, enter Mrs jObsworth to tell me to move in case others wanted adjoining pitch. Again manner was that of school mistress remonstrating with an errant 3rd former, not a representative seeking cooperation.
In summary this is a pleasant site but our experience on this occasion was spoilt by the wardens whose attitude was a long way off that to which we are accustomed and expect. They might benefit from attending a training course on how to deal with customers!
