A lovely site
We recently stayed at Salisbury for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Wardens were so friendly, informative and helpful. The site is well laid out in secluded 'wooded glades' for 2 or 3 vans with a larger grassed area for about 12 vans at the top of the site behind reception (here traffic noise seems just that bit louder than elsewhere on the site) The showers and toilets were kept immaculately clean at all times and there is a fantastic doggie walk along the edge of the site. As the site is on a slope, if you are pitched at the bottom it's a bit of a trek up to the toilet/shower block at the top of the site, especially in the rain (but good exercise).
Only draw-backs: no wifi, only 1 hairdryer in the lady's I (could do with another) and at busy times the 3 showers and wc's means having to queue (the wardens do open up the one unisex toilet at busy times) and the 'open' wash-up area situated at the top of the site which can be very cold, as the wind whips across the open fields nearby. BUT none of these detract from the fact that the Salisbury site is lovely & well worth a visit as there is so much to do round and about. We will most certainly make another visit.
