We stayed here in late September, The wardens were very helpful and friendly. the reception was well stocked, which helps when you are a little way from any shops. the top half of the site is the best area to stay unless you like being in trees and semi- darkness, which is what the bottom half of the site is. we spent four nights here and had a nice break, Salisbury is 9 miles away and Andover is the same distance. both places worth a visit. Stonehenge is also not too far away, but the place we liked the best was the standing stone circle at Avebury, well worth a visit.
