Lovely site in a perfect position to break up our journey from East to West. Friendly and welcoming staff on site, facilities clean and in good order. The site is on a hillside so the layout winds down and back up again and some of the pitches are not level but that is to be expected. A lovely quiet and peaceful place to stay.
Welcoming site . Peaceful and well kept.
Such a great site, very welcoming and helpful staff. They keep the site tidy and facilities very clean.
Ideally situated to visit Salisbury either using the Park and Ride or parking in the centre of Salisbury

Overnight stop
We stayed here overnight on our way to East Anglia. It is a very peaceful site and the facilities are well maintained and clean. The warden was welcoming and helpful. The site is in woodland which makes for a restful stay and we will hope to return for a longer visit one day.

Peaceful & Clean
We were only on the site for one night as a stopover on the way to a Festival. The hut at the top didn't really shout Reception at us so we drove straight past and got chased down the road by a member of staff.
I had forgotten my membership card (we are new to this) but the staff were really helpful in overcoming this
The price for the night was less than I had thought
The site was very quiet and peaceful, it's not somewhere we personally would stay for more than a few days but that's only because we have no other way of getting around the local area without using the van and there is nothing to do on the site. Maybe there is public transport nearby I don't know
The toilet and shower block are the cleanest I have seen
Salisbury Hills
This site and the pitch we had....Perfect! Very peaceful and the woodland around our pitch just added to the experience. We will hopefully get the oportunity to stay longer next time.
Good for families? We would'nt know as we don't have children.
Thank Wardens
Idyllic
Returning to Caravanning after 25 years this site was a delight and confirmed that the Caravan Club is as good as ever. Peaceful site. in a beautiful setting and convenient for Salisbury.:Wardens welcoming and, all in all a troublefree stay.

Great site and owners. Most friendly welcome we have had at any site this year. Well thought out pitches, plenty of really well maintained facilities. Immaculately clean and tidy. Peaceful location, good views, lots of trees and wild life. Love the small touches such as dog treats and water bowl at reception, help yourself herb garden, etc. Good little shop and really helpful staff. Great information on arrival, Bentley Woods about 4miles away is brilliant for dog walking. An absolute pleasure to stay at, definitely on the return list, probably again this year. Thoroughly recommended if looking for a high quality, peaceful break.
Really helpful wardens
Our caravan fridge didn't work at all. We knew it had a problem - last time out it froze eveerything! This time nothing. So we resorted to a cool-bag and the wardens kindly froze ice packs for us.
On the site generally, we were fortunate to be near the facilities at the top of the site on a flat pitch (no 2). We could see that for those further down it was quite a walk uphill to go to the loo or use a shower.
You have to be careful leaving the site as traffic on the A343 comes over the brow of the hill very quickly.

Disappointed
The photos of this site are a bit misleading. Most of the pitches on the site are surrounded by tall trees making the overall feel dark and dank. Our pitch was right at the bottom and didn’t get any sunlight. The access is beside a second hand car garage and is very narrow. There is a CL site right next door that I now wish we had booked instead, it is light and open with great views of the surround countryside. The site wardens were, however, very friendly and helpful as always.
No where to walk to as on busy road
This is a lovely peaceful site with beautiful views over Salisbury countryside. The wardens were lovely and very helpful with any queries. On the down side - The lower part of the site is under trees and therefore feels dark. The dog walk, which is the only walk from the site, is overgrown and not very pleasant to walk through. It’s too dangerous to walk along the road as there are no pavements and the traffic is fast.
