1st and last visit, female warden seemed very unhappy in her job, complaining to a guest about having to deal with WiFi issue whilst we were checking in, she was also complaining about the pay cut she took from an IT job. Not rude but far from friendly. We were told about wet grassy pitches and we avoided them due to recent rain.
Pitches were a good size, pegs didn’t go in that easily on our hard stand.
Couple of minutes drive to seafront, lots of shops within walking distance, Tesco etc. Great camping shop nearby.
On our pitch we couldn’t really hear the main road, just the odd idiot on a motorbike which was very loud, but get that anywhere. planes flying over from local airstrip was good to see.
Some pitches are placed behind other pitches this means that campers walk very close to car and neighbours awning to get to washing facilities, unnerving late at night. Pick your pitch wisely.
Only 1 washing machine in laundrette, site clean and well maintained.
Didn’t really see wardens much, wished we had as kids constantly going round on road with scooters was annoying, no park so ensure you entertain your children. Kids were out until dark, won’t be long before a child is hit by a car. Assume this is why sites are now banning bikes etc on sites. As usual the few ruin it for all.
Would hope they would do a walk round as we were disturbed several nights by a guy playing a banjo until gone 10pm.
