Good Base

We stayed at Rowan Park for a week commencing the 23rd May (bank holiday weekend). Arriving on the Saturday afternoon left us with only a few pitches to choose from, which sadly is a common problem. The site is very well maintained, facilities clean and staff are very pleasant. There's a lovely nature reserve adjacent to the site for dog walking. The site is nicely positioned to access many lovely places along the south coast. There is a Lidl, Halfords and KFC across the road but unfortunately if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, you get a constant smell of chip fat whilst sitting around your van, subject to pitch location! The road noise is a problem and at nights, the local "boy racers" decide to try and compete with each other for the loudest exhaust systems and drag racing around the local roads. Would I go back? Yes, but maybe when I can guarantee a pitch in the furthest corner away from the main road and with a pair of ear muffs to guarantee a decent night sleep!
