Lovely but Noisy!

Great location with easy access to a lovely area. Retail parks close by with useful shops and fast food restaurants. Site is adjacent to two busy roads with a constant traffic noise at all hours. Seemed to be as busy at 0530 as it was during the day. For me this spoilt what would otherwise have been a lovely site. To be sat relaxing outside the van with a main road running by was not exactly peaceful. I had thought I would get used to the noise but there were also frequent bursts of noise from boy/girl racers and the odd ambulance siren too. Probably wouldn't use again which is a shame as everything else about the site was good, especially the nature reserve for dog walks and the friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely site which made us first timers really welcome

We were nervous as it was our first time ever away and picked here because it is very close to home and had a last minute space. The wardens made us so welcome and had lots of tips for us newbies (thank you so much for that much appreciated!) and all the other campers were friendly and welcoming. The shower and toilets are lovely and so very clean and the grounds beautifully kept, can’t fault facilities at all. Being fairly local we knew site was next to busy road so noise no surprise to us townies who are used to it anyway, and we were on a pitch away from road. The road is only reason I gave 3 stars for peace. The site itself is very peaceful but the background road noise could be a problem for some. Location is great there is a Kentucky, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Burger King all within a few minutes walk and a friendly pub doing great carveries. Also a Sainsbury’s and a Lidl which is very convenient. The roads are busy to cross to get to them but we managed without any bother. There is a small nature park right next door not particularly pretty but a nice enough walk and great for dog walkers. Sadly the beginning of the park is one big dog toilet but if you venture further in it becomes more clean and enjoyable. We really enjoyed our maiden trip so much so that we will be back for two nights later in the year.

Small but Very Nice Site

This is a small site with only one toilet block but is nevertheless well located and comfortable. There is some road noise on the eastern side of the site but this didn't bother us. Great dog walking in the wildlife reserve immediately next door. Our daughter's family (2 small children) stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed the proximity to the beaches and town. The lack of a playground wasn't a big issue for them. We would certainly come back for a short relaxing break.

Suited us for a short visit

We stayed for 3 nights last week. The site was spacious and well laid out. The facilities block was spotless and never busy. This may have been because there were a number of un-attended caravans - seasonal pitches I assume - so it was less populated even though it was quite full. We were visiting family so we weren't on the site that much. The road is an issue; it is noisy at night, especially near the roundabout. The thoughtful warden gave us a pitch further from the noise which was perfect - thank you for that. The traffic makes it quite difficult to get out of the site - you have to be patient and it's better to go the "wrong way" and use the roundabout. If you get on with them, it's always handy to have some earplugs with you, especially if you are used to sleeping in a quiet place. Bognor was not of much interest to us really but Chichester was very pretty being laid out in the classic Roman style. North Gate car park is very convenient for visiting the town.

Lovely Site

We stay at this site a number of times per year because we have family in the area. The site is immaculately kept and the facilities are very good. Numerous shops and food outlets are within easy walking distance, but do not loiter crossing the roads, they are very busy. The staff are lovely and there is plenty to keep the family occupied within easy reach. Excellent dog walk adjacent to site. The site can be a little noisy due to traffic noise but you soon get used to it.

Great little site

This is my second visit to this site. I chose it for its location be ause I was visiting an event (Southdowns Folk Festival) in Bognor. Quite close to a main road do a little noisy at times but also just across the road from a supermarket, so food shopping could be done once I had arrived which was great! Sit wardens very friendly and welcoming. Facilities cke@n and well maintained! What’s not to like about this site. Oh, and as an added bonus it is right next door to a nature reserve!

A Little Oasis !

After reading some reviews we were concerned about this site. I am happy to say we loved it. Yes it is in a strange position basically stuck between two main roads but as you drive through the gate it is a beautiful forest of trees and calm. All sites are a good size and the facilities are kept to probably the highest standard I have seen. The Wardens are extremely helpful. We set up as far away from the road as possible and it didn't intrude much at all. The are plenty of birds to watch and so many rabbits it is like Watership Down. We stayed there to go to Goodwood Festival of Speed but also visited Arundel Castle and Pagham RSPB reserve. Both brilliant days out. Having all the main supermarkets so close was actually very handy. You can walk to Lidls once you have negotiated the road. I am sure that next year if we go to Goodwood we will return to this site.

Lovely Stay

We stayed here for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay. The site and facilities were spotless. It is a perfect location for visiting the coast, Arundel Castle and the other towns round about. As stated in the handbook and on the website there is road noise but this is to be expected as the site situated just off the A97. It certainly didn’t detract us from sitting out enjoying the sun of an evening.

Lovely Site

We stayed here for 7 nights and enjoyed our stay. The site was up to the high standards expected of club sites. It is a perfect base for visiting the coast and Arundel Castle and the other towns round about. As mentioned on the website and in the book there is road noise but being so close to the A97 this has to be expected. It certainly didn’t stop us from sitting out enjoying the sun of an evening.
