As you top the rise on the approach road, you will see Rookesbury Park Club Campsite splendidly set in tranquil parkland and filled with hedges and trees in the valley, with the magnificent Forest of Bere at its edge. For restaurants, pubs and other conveniences, the caravan site puts you within easy reach of Fareham and the village of Wickham.
An ideal choice for those with children, part of the campsite is reserved as a children's play and picnic area. As the Gateway to the South Downs, the site is ideally located for shoppers and city visitors to Portsmouth and Southampton, yet also perfectly placed to enjoy country walks and the peace and tranquillity of the Forest of Bere clearings. If you want to enjoy the outdoors while touring in Hampshire, you will be spoilt for choice because the entire area is ideal for walking, cycling and leisurely absorbing the peace and quiet of the former royal Forest of Bere. The area is abundant with wildlife and a variety of birdlife, with plenty of opportunities for keen photographers to take great nature shots.
Should you want to explore further afield, Rookesbury Park Club Campsite is well placed for everything from a day trip to the Isle of Wight to a longer visit in Portsmouth to see the restored ships of old (the Mary Rose, the Victory, the Warrior) as well as sample the local seaside shopping treats. For more fascinating history, you could also visit the Victorian Fort Nelson, a Royal Armouries collection of artillery, displaying over 350 cannons. As the site is close to Portsmouth, it's also ideal for an overnight stay when catching a ferry. Ferry pitches can be booked for a one night stay here on the website or via the App, subject to availability.
A variety of mobile food vans visit this site, please ask the site staff for more details on arrival.
Please Note: Reception at this site may close earlier than 8pm and staff may not be available to greet you. If this is the case, don’t worry, you can still arrive on site until 8pm. We will simply contact you on your day of arrival with details of how to check-in. Please ensure your contact details are up to date on your Membership profile.

Too many people blocking the dog field with unfriendly dogs feel 10-15 mins is all you should need. Disappointed that the walk to Wickham is now almost an hour I would say double so a new route needs sorting. As the forestry have blocked the old route. To our horror... Show more
