In the middle of nowhere- Ideal !!!.....PS

Meant to add that the dog field was the biggest out of all the 4 sites we had stayed on during our trip with 2 or 3 dog pit stops along the way. The addition of the dog shower was great for our mucky dog on the return from our walks into the village. None of the other sites we stayed had one of these

In the middle of nowhere- Ideal !!!

A site in the middle of nowhere it seemed. You couldn't hear any traffic just birds and wildlife. Stil able to get good wifi and tv receptions through the vans onboard wi-fi and tv ariel. Just a 20 minute scenic river walk to get into a small village with 3 lovely bars/restaurants ( one only open thurs- Sun), 2 tea-rooms, a co-op and some other lovely little shops. where we stayed the field was so large we virtually had the sun all day even though we were surrounded by the trees; a right little suntrap ( furthest field I think) A lovely warm welcome and a great three day stay Would definitely stay again

Would be perfect but for yappy dogs……

We have recently stayed at this site and cannot praise the staff here enough. They are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for their visitors. We due to leave the site when our car developed a slow puncture. This was on the Saturday when we were due to leave on the Sunday. The tyre could not be repaired until the Monday but this was not a problem, the staff kindly let us extend our stay with absolutely no fuss. They took away our stress immediately and couldn’t have been nicer. The fish and chip van on the Friday night served delicious food and in a really cheerful way. The facilities were spotless and included a bike and dog wash which was very useful for our bikes. The location is fabulous. The site is amongst woodlands and gives excellent access to the walks and cycle trails nearby. Lots of attractions within a few miles, we visited Hambledon Vineyard which was nice and Fort Nelson, which is free, is a must visit. No issues with accessing the site with our caravan, plenty of pull in spaces on the driveway in. We had a lovely grass pitch and were allowed to pitch nose in to be able to enjoy some shade in the scortchio weather. Our only criticism and this does not reflect on the staff, was the number of yappy dogs on the site. We’ve never seen so many small dogs, with such annoying voices in the same place before. All in all we would definitely recommend this site as being one of our favourites and we will definitely return.

Excellent campsite

A beautiful campsite with clean, modern facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. We used the site to visit Historic Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth.-short drive to Fareham train station and then easy train ride to Portsmouth Harbour. A lovely easy walk to Wickham down a disused rail track was shown to us by the staff. Well worth a short stroll to Wickham

Fantastic Site

We have just returned from Rookesbury Park, we stayed before going to the Isle of Wight and then on our return. The site is very clean and tidy, there are 2 shower blocks both maintained to very high standards and plenty of hot water. There is an excellent dog run on site. Paul and Libby and all of their team are really friendly and work very hard. Thank you all so much for everything you do.

My number 1 site so far!

Loved this site such a beautiful location in the middle of forest with direct access. The pitches are very spacious and facilities excellent especially for dogs…they loved it! Great for walking and cycling with links to the Meon valley trial. Just a perfect break.

A Lovely Site in a Great Location

Having lived in Hampshire for more than 20 years, to our surprise we had never come across Rookesbury Park, and it took coming back in our motorhome to visit family for us to find it, but oh boy, what a find!! A lovely park set well away from any roads, and although it offers parking for 157 outfits, was extremely quiet while we were there for the last 3 nights. We had only planned on spending the one night, but ended up going back the next night as we were still in the area, and were lucky enough to be given the same disabled pitch, which was perfect. The next morning I wasn't very well, so my husband checked at reception to see if they could accommodate us for another day. The pitch was unfortunately taken for that night, but they very kindly allowed us to move to another pitch, so all was well. Facilities were very clean, and plenty of them as far as I could tell, although my husband did discover a blocked toilet in one of the mens facilities, however, he did note that that toilet was quickly locked, and the following day was in full working order. The staff on site were all very professional, particularly Adey, Nina, and Paul, who had a great sense of humour. All in all, a great site, and one we're likely to return to.

Fantastic site

We have stayed on this site quite a few times, but only on a ferry pitch on our way to France. This time we decided to stay on our return home, i did not realize the site was so large,i told the warden that my wife is disabled and on our arrival a pitch close to the toilet block had been reserved for us. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, we will be sure to stay again.

Love this site

This has been my second visit to this site. It’s quiet and totally away from everything. Nice walks and bike rides. Facilities are excellent and clean. Staff, particularly Nina were friendly and helpful. We will be back. One of my favourite sites for relaxing. Wickham small and quaint, worth a visit.
