First but certainly not the last visit!

Spent three nights this week on this wonderful site. Quiet, as kids all at school! Wonderful facilities, toilet & shower blocks spotless. Great dog walks both on site and off. Wardens great and very friendly. Just my kind of place.

Almost perfect

Have just stayed here for a week. It is very quiet and lies within a wood far from the road. Facilities are ideal and are kept immaculately. The situation is good - not too far from the motorway so you can get to anywhere fast. There is a nice public wood to explore right by the sight entrance. We will be back !

Can't Wait Until We Return

Lovely site, with clean facilities, and nice and warm toilet block too. The children loved the play area, and like others have said, the staff are fantastic. I 100% agree with previous reviewer about the Historic Dock yards, and as our ticket lasts all year, we will be back to see the bits we missed. Thumbs up for the park and ride too.

Dock Yard Holiday

Another excellent holiday at Rookesbury where you are made to feel most welcome by friendly and helpful wardens. My husband had been given tickets for the Historic Dock Yard for his 65th birthday and we took this opportunity to explore and enjoy the Mary Rose, Warrior, Victory and all the Dock Yard has to offer its an amazing experience and something for all the family to enjoy. We used the Park and Ride which was so convenient. The only problem was that they put a height restriction over the entrance of 2.1 mtrs, as they expected a take over of the site by Gypsies. We were over the height, so the security that were watching opened the barrier for us. Despite the bad weather, rain and gales the wardens at Rookesbury made sure the facilities were always clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water. The only small point we would make is that the veg prep area could do with a few coat hooks so you can hang up your coats etc when washing up. Apart from that this is a top class site and we would recommend it.

A great stay

Had a great 8 days at the site. Will defiantly be back. The lack of WiFi connectivity could be a little annoying at times but did not spoil the enjoyment.

Contented member

Yet another special stay at Rookesbury Park. It has everything that we require of a Club Site........except wifi!!  The Club Policy on this aspect is difficult to comprehend.

Excellent Site

We had excellent stay here. Wardens were friendly and helpful. Until we discovered we had left our corkscrew at home. My wife went up to the reception to ask if they had a corkscrew she could quickly open the bottle of wine with to overhear the message reply on the radio to be "if its for a bottle of wine then no we havent" which i thought to be a little rude. And my only other gripe was to use a multipoint on the electric hook up to run a mains lead into our awning for lighting. I had this plugged in for a couple of days with no issues. Only to be told on day 3 of holiday that it was club policy to not allow these connectors as it can overheat and blow the hook up points and make it awkward for other members to plug in. When i plugged this in there were 3 other leads plugged in to the same post with no interference caused by my set up. The issue i have is what is the difference to me doing what i did compared to vans that have an external power supply which we dont have. Any advice on this would be gratefully received.  Apart from these two issues everything else was fantastic. Toilet blocks are spotlessly clean. The walk to Wickham is very pleasant. There is loads to do if you are prepared to travel a bit. Local pubs are very good although none are within walking distance. We visited the chairmakers a few times and meals are great and generous and fairly reasonable for the south of england. Overall a great holiday and will definately return.

lovely site

Love this site. Great dog walking. Facilities are up to the usual club standards. Site staff are super I unfortunately broke down and couldn't leave until breakdown people rectified the problem. The lady in reception kindly made my wife a cup of tea while we waited. The visiting fish and chip van is expensive and not very nice unfortunately. Shall definitely return. Access to site very easy.

Relaxing get away.

We are regular visitors to this site and are never disappointed. Helpful, friendly staff always available. Showers and toilets are always immaculate. Park area, wonderful for our children and even a dog walk area for our dog.

Brilliant Site

Have stayed at this site a few times now and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.  The pitches are very large and the facilities are clean and well lit. The location is very nice with lots to see and do nearby.  I would say that I never found an electric point in the ladies shower block to be able to use my own hair dryer, though there is one fixed hair dryer provided.
