Our first try at a New Year 3 night break. This site was ideal ! And fully booked whilst we were there.. Excellent location, close to Betws (and its railway station) where all shops and cafes were open on New Years Eve and New Years day. Great base for short easy walks along the river into Betws or the more adventurous walkers. The toilet block was warm and clean and very well maintained. Couple of tips when visiting this Riverside site. (And not in the control of the site) This is quiet peaceful spot but if you don't want to wake early with the train hoots (7 am) then take earplugs.Also it is next to a sewage farm so can be pongy even when its cold !. Finally, the drinking water here tastes awful, even when boiled, and the bottled water in local shops is cheekily overpriced so plan ahead and take your own.
