Great location

I echo everything Roy and Bev's review says - great location, so much to see close by. We enjoyed the riverside walk by the golf club, and the walk up by the river in the village, and we also took the bus up to swallow falls and walked back...stunning, they serve great food at the pub..the oak? Post office close by in the Londis store. Loo block good and great not to have the area to get dressed flooded from the shower as most sites seem to do. My only negative is the regimental way the pitches are laid out, and all seem very close...not a pleasant outlook from your pitch, but there is so much to go out and see we weren't on site that often so it didn't matter. I would certainly return.

Wonderful

Very welcoming, beautifully kept, great location minutes from the village, great places to eat. Site has a lovely walk along the riverbank and golf club with visiting wildlife and for the more energetic walks into the countryside. Yes there is a railway along one side of site but it is not intrusive as not frequent. The site is very tranquil and peaceful. So much so when we checked out we booked in for another week in September thoroughly recommend this site.

Great base for touring

This site is ideally positioned for touring North Wales and Anglesey. The facilities are very good and kept immaculate. Following previous comments about the train line, most of the time we were out and it stops running at 11pm so not really a bother. The best eateries we found where at the nearby village of Trefriw, the old ship public house the food is just great reasonably priced but requires booking for Friday and Saturday nights and if you really want to push the boat out next door is a brasserie. The ugly house cafe is also well worth a walk to and the swallow falls are passed on the way.

one of the finest sites on the network

It is unfortunate the club does not have an effective presence in the north of Wales as it is a fascinating and deeply beautiful place to visit and travel about or just sit and watch the world go by. Without a full club site to use had to use an affiliated site for the first time and what a revelation.... We had 5 days on this site end of Aug beginning of Sept and have to say it is one of the finest sites on the network so far. The site is kept absolutely immaculate not a blade of grass or leaf not attended to, the shower block is perhaps a bit small but kept in perfect condition and for a change the floor is laid to fall to the drain and you don’t take too much water into the dry area after your shower..... The location is perfect, we are now motor home users and within a short walking distance is a cafe made out of a old railway carriage, pubs, coffee house, fish and chips and just about anything else you can think of..... Public transport is a few minutes’ walk away for trains and buses, trains are infrequent but plenty of buses to take you anywhere you want and lots of places to visit lots to do..... Endless dog walk easy to get to from the site which is a big plus if you take a four legged friend camping with you The staff are friendly and will help you out with any questions or information, a big help with train and bus usage, nothing is too much trouble for them..... Downside, well no where is perfect and some might feel a bit claustrophobic compared to some sites but you still have your minimum distance between units and by having everyone park on the left means you have a private space if you want to sit out in the sun..... Train runs close to site but frankly didn’t find it any issue at all, no Child's play area but so much to do about the place can’t see that as much of a problem..... We will defiantly paying another visit next time we are in north Wales.

Top site in beautiful location must rate as a top CC site.

Great site in fantastic location. Five start facilities please note the CC inspectors/planners should use this site as a template for their new builds. An affiliated site that puts the camper at the centre of their activities. Security is first class, the grass and hedges all trimmed to perfection, staff very helpful. The location in the centre of the town is ideal for nights out, shopping, meals in local pubs, food shopping, everything you could want. The walks into the town either up the river or around the golf course are perfect for the doggy walk in the early morning an evening stroll. Top class site - exceed five star rating. Will we visit again - a definite yes. PS you can advance book a pitch away from the train station side (although trains only run once an hour during the day)

May Escape

We went to this affiliated site in may 2015. this is the 3rd Morris leisure site we have visited. The site is beautiful and you do hear the train that rumbles past the site, but having said that everything you could want is actually in walking distance of this site and that is from someone with a dodgy knee ! for the more able swallow falls is a decent walk. The falls in may were awesome mainly due to the fact that we were in Wales and it did indeed Rain all week we even lost the awning off the side of the van!! But the warden were most helpful and disposed of the tatter and torn remains. Will return to this site in the future. shower block clean  , shop useful, wardens helpful and friendly :) great site

Fantastic!

Just home after a 10 night trip to Wales, we stayed at Riverside for the last two nights which rounded the holiday off nicely. It's a lovely site, well maintained and the facilities are excellent. I hate to be negative but there is one small downside - the train line is very close and the occasional rattler does interrupt the peace. But don't let that put you off. The staff are fantastic & we will return. A great site!!

Fantastic

Despite the fact there is no park or anything for the kids we had an amazing time here with the kids. This is our second visit to this site. The pics above are very out of date and I suggest you look at the caravan sites own website for more up to date pics. We climbed Snowdon, went to Penrhyn Castle, did some cycling at Llyn Brenig and the mountain bike trails at Coed-y-Brennin. Kids also had a paddle in the river at the end of the site. You can walk direct from site into village where there are plenty of shops and eating places. A site for all ages. Facilities spotless
