Just visited this site, only just open for the season. There are new wardens at the site who are so nice and friendly and really helpful. As usual, it was peaceful and relaxing with all of the wildlife around including a deer we saw walking down to the river on the site walk. It's a great base for exploring Northumberland, close to Wooler, Lindisfarne and the coast and only a short hop further to Coldstream. Ingram valley is just up the road with a great dog friendly cafe. All in all, a highly recommended site which keeps us coming back.
