What a great site

We often choose sites close to the coast but saw this site and thought it looked good for a three day stopover on the way home. We were pleasantly surprised at what a great site this is. It has the best dog walk we have come across as it is long, alongside a river, through woodland and is very well maintained. For wildlife lovers this site is ideal and deserves it's David Bellamy Conservation Award. The wardens were very pleasant and helpful as always. The facilities were first class in the way that they were set out and looked after. We took the time to drive out though the lovely countryside to the Ingram National Park and along the River Breamish into the impressive Cheviot Hills. It was not too strenuous and there was a lot too see. We also drove to the coast which is not too far unless you get lost and explore the narrow country roads as we did. It was however a really pleasant drive. Craster is always worth a visit and we walked on the beach at Boulmer. We will definitely be back out of the school holidays for longer and to explore the area better.
