Just returned from 12 nights at River Breamish and simply cannot fault it. A real gem of a site and whilst many people on the CC videos of other sites regularly claim them to be the 'Jewel in the Crown', this one really is. On arrival the Wardens were very friendly and welcoming and although the site was fully booked, we were fortunate enough to have the pick of 23 pitches. The site is very sheltered with an excellent layout and superb toilet and shower facilities. The Wardens do a fantastic job in keeping the whole site spotlessly clean. There's a lovely walk on site around the small lake and down to the river. 2 minutes up the road and there's a nature reserve tucked away with 2 further lakes. Further afield you're so spoilt for choice for things to do and see and places to go, like us you'll probably have to return to do the things you missed. With no children's play area, the site is very quiet and peaceful and we were fortunate to get lovely couples either side of us for the bulk of our stay.  Despite it being 360 miles away, it's a must for a return trip. Peaceful, tranquil, quiet, relaxing - all of this and more. If I was from Essex, I'd give it 110% ??
