Last minute 3 day stay and pleased we did. The site is set within what feels like a nature reserve with most of the pitches over-looking grass or hedge rows rather than the 'car park' feel that some have these days. Adjacent to a river dog walk and two large lakes next door boasting all manor of wild life but also beware of the adders in the area, we saw two! 30 mins or so drive to the coast if you prefer to get out and good walks straight from the site. Try Ingram (http://www.northumberlandnationalpark.org.uk/places/river-breamish/)and sit by the river or have an ice cream from the cafe tucked away. Great site for more than just a stopover.
