Perfect rural destination
We have only stayed here twice as it is a bit of a trek, how I wish it were nearer. If you want noise, shops etc stay away, if you want a quiet clean site with its own little nature reserve and river, in wonderful scenery close enough to the attractions of the Northumberland coast, the national park, the Scottish border, the list goes on.
The nearest village pub has recently shut, but a four mile drive takes you to a very popular venue serving good food and ale.
A filling station on the main road has a very well stocked shop, a bit pricey but some nice quality food produce.
A fantastic site for dogs, our lab loved swimming in the river and plenty of walking, or scenic drives nearby.
